"Melkkos", some other South African great
"Melkkos" is one of my favorite dishes ever. I do without a doubt now not understand what it is known as in English, however if I had to translate it, it would be some thing like milk food. It is a dish with its fundamental ingredient being milk, to which you add some flour and butter.
It is a awesome common dish that can be loved all yr round. Try it in the winter, it warms you up from the inside! Nothing tastes more pleasant than a bowl of "melkkos", sprinkled with cinnamon sugar on the top.
What can be nicer, I ask you all! If you have in no way tried it, I would say it is time.
Ingredients:
1 cup of flour
1 half of tablespoons of challenging butter
A pinch of salt
2 half cups of milk
Method:
1. Rub the butter in with the flour, the use of your fingers. Add the salt and combine some more.
2. Bring the milk to the boil on the range and add the butter and flour combination a little bit at a time.
3. Turn the warmness proper down and let it boil for about 5 minutes. Make certain you stir the combination often.
4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the pinnacle and experience it warm!
You will no longer be dissatisfied with this recipe. Try and enjoy. Believe me, you will.
